Accommodation
in Pitlochry
As you might expect of a town with a long tradition of tourism,
there are many hotels and guest houses to choose from for your stay
in Pitlochry. Whatever you select, you will find the welcome warm
and the people friendly and helpful.
The
Atholl Arms Hotel
Built in 1832, the Atholl Arms Hotel is a traditional Highland hotel
that has earned an enviable reputation for good food, comfort and
friendly service. The hotel is situated in the picturesque village
of Blair Atholl, close to Blair Castle.
Each of the 31 bedrooms has ensuite facilities and the hotel has
a historic vaulted baronial diningroom and three bars.
The Moulin
Hotel
Less than one mile from the centre of Pitlochry is the village of
Moulin. This has an ancient history dating back more than 2,000
years, but its importance as a waypoint shifted to Pitlochry after
the Jacobite Rising of 1745 and, later, the arrival of the railway
in Pitlochry. However, one aspect of Moulin's past that still flourishes
is the Moulin Hotel. Also known as the Moulin Inn, this ancient
coaching inn has been offering traditional Highland hospitality
to travellers since 1695. Also boasting its own brewery and a self-catering
annexe, the Moulin provides modern comforts in a traditional setting.
